The No. 8 Baylor Bears are expected to get Heisman Trophy hopeful Bryce Petty back after missing one game as they play the Buffalo Bulls in UB Stadium.

The reigning Big 12 offensive player of the year is expected to play for the Bears Friday after recovering from two small cracks in his back. The Bears didn’t skip a beat in Petty’s absence as they cruised past Northwestern State 70-6.

The player to watch for the Bears has to be wide receiver KD Cannon as he has set the Big-12 on fire with his play through two games. Cannon has eight catches on the season, but has 282 yards in those catches. Against Northwestern State, Cannon broke out with touchdown catches of of 50, 81 and 42 yards in the first quarter.

"I never dreamed of nothing like that. Coming into the game, Coach said I was going to get more playing time than I did last week. That was all I was expecting," Cannon said. "I wasn't expecting to score three touchdowns in the first quarter.”

Baylor leads the all-time series with Buffalo 3-0 with the most recent game being a 70-13 Baylor win last September.
