The St. Louis Rams were trounced by the Minnesota Vikings to open the 2014 season and lost starting quarterback Shaun Hill in the process. Hill hasn't been ruled out for the Rams Week 2 game, but should the team now look to other options at quarterback?
The Rams are in a less than ideal situation when it comes to their quarterback situation and coach Jeff Fisher has put his support behind Hill, but better options are out there if St. Louis chose to pursue them.

Fisher on Shaun Hill at QB: "Shaun’s our quarterback so if he’s healthy he starts and that will be the case throughout the season."

Rumors of the Rams being interested in Mark Sanchez died down rather quickly due to the team’s confidence in Hill as well as Sanchez’s preference to stay in Philadelphia. The Rams could revisit the Eagles’ roster and look at the likes of Matt Barkley, but the answer to their woes would already be on the their roster.

Case Keenum was recently acquired by the Rams when the Texans released him after trading for Ryan Mallett. Keenum doesn't have the best resume in the NFL, but he has been serviceable in the situations he has been placed in. In his eight starts for the Texans in 2013, Keenum threw for 1,760 yards and nine touchdowns to six interceptions. The Texans lost all of the starts, but they were the leagues’ worst team for a whole list of reasons.
Keenum should be the Rams starter in the coming weeks and with Hill’s status in doubt for Week 2, the Rams would like to avoid another Austin Davis performance.
