Texas Tech and UTEP play in the last game of the packed Saturday of college football and both are looking to move on to 2-0 on the season.

Both teams are looking to stay hot and clean up the little mistakes that come from the early goings of the season. UTEP is looking to get sharper as they prepare for a matchup with No. 20 Kansas State in two weeks,

Texas Tech will get into the heart of their schedule after their game with Arkansas next week and will see No. 20 Kansas State, No. 4 Oklahoma, No. 10 Baylor and Texas at other points in the season. Texas Tech ranks fifth in the nation throwing the ball with 452 yards through the air and UTEP is 12th in the nation running the ball with 330 yards on the ground last week.

Texas Tech leads the all-time series with UTEP 14-6-1 and the Red Raiders have won the last five meetings against the Miners. The Miners last victory against Texas Tech came in the form of a 26-14 win in 1957.
