TV Schedule: SEC Network

Where They Stand:
Lamar Cardinals (0-1, 0-0 American)
No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies (-4.0) (1-0, 1-0 SEC)

The legend of Kenny Hill is off and running as the No. 9 Aggies (up from No. 21 last week) take on the Lamar Cardinals a week after crushing, then No. 9. South Carolina 52-28.

Kenny ‘Thrill’ Hill took put the Aggies on his shoulders and made College Station forget Johnny Manziel all in one night. Hill tossed 511 yards and three touchdowns against the Gamecocks and thrusted himself right into the middle of the Heisman Trophy conversation. Hill will get another chance to highlight his skills against a less talented Lamar team.

Lamar is coming off a 42-27 win against Grambling State and playing Texas A&M will be the most challenging part of their schedule. The Cardinals will not play another ranked opponent this season and will likely use this game to grow in the Southland conference.

This is Texas A&M’s home opener and it will be the first time you see the new and improved Kyle Field. The stadium was renovated to increase the capacity of the stands from 82,600 to 102,512.

Texas A&M will not start the gauntlet of their schedule until their October 11 meeting with No. 15 Ole Miss, but after that date they will play the best the SEC has to offer.
