The WWE presents Monday Night RAW tonight live from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa as the company continues to countdown to Night of Champions on Sept. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with a Labor Day edition of its flagship program.
John Cena Discusses Possible Match With Hulk Hogan
As the summer winds down, things are only heating up in the WWE. The only thing confirmed for tonight's show is that Chris Jericho and Randy Orton will both return to RAW after having last week off and Orton will be a guest on Jericho's Highlight Reel.
Regarding rumors that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will be in attendance, the WWE has only advertised him for the Sept. 15 edition of RAW, which is the last show before Night of Champions. The WWE filmed a bunch of promotional videos with Lesnar backstage in Las Vegas on Aug. 18, so it's possible another vignette could air.
Lesnar's opponent at Night of Champions, John Cena, will be in attendance and is slated to respond to the video of Paul Heyman and Lesnar that aired last week.
Aside from Cena, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Triple H, Kane and The Wyatt Family are also being advertised for tonight's show.
The WWE will continue to build on a lot of its feuds, including the clash between "frenemies" AJ Lee and WWE Divas Champion Paige, the war between Rollins and Reigns and the sibling rivalry that has developed between Nikki and Brie Bella.
It has been established that Sheamus will take on Cesaro for the United States Championship at Night of Champions and the two are likely to cross paths tonight while Dolph Ziggler and The Miz will continue to feud over the Intercontinental Championship.
There are rumors that Bray Wyatt may battle Jericho at Night of Champions and The Usos will defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against Goldust and Stardust at the show, so it is likely that more build up toward those matches will be established tonight.
With just 20 days until Night of Champions, more matches may be added to the card as the calendar flips to September and the WWE closes out the summer with a Labor Day edition of Monday Night RAW.
