There were reports last week that Batista may be done with the WWE and could be looking to pursue acting full-time, and in an update on the rumors "The Animal" may not come back until WrestleMania 31 next March as he has reportedly been unhappy with the way he's been booked.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that those close to Batista have said that he is still unhappy with the way the WWE booked him upon his return to the company in January.

The WWE inked Batista to what was said to be a lucrative deal to return to the company with the plans reportedly being for Batista to win the 2014 Royal Rumble match and go on to WrestleMania XXX last April 6 in New Orleans and defeat Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The plans were changed after Batista didn't get quite the reaction that the WWE was hoping for and his in-ring stamina took a big hit in comparison to how he looked in the ring four years ago after winning the Rumble match.

That, mixed with the groundswell of support for Daniel Bryan led to the WWE adding Bryan into the match and making it a triple threat match, which saw Bryan leave the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with the gold.

Batista was reportedly unhappy about this turn of events as he was supposed to be pushed as a monster babyface and go on to win the championship until the plans changed and the heel Evolution stable was brought back together. Evolution then lost to The Shield at Extreme Rules and Payback, and Batista took a hiatus, "quitting" the WWE on the June 2 edition of RAW.

Batista was only expected to be gone until around SummerSlam so that he could promote Guardians of the Galaxy, but "The Animal" still hasn't returned and there have been rumors that he may pursue acting full-time instead of coming back to the WWE after the success of Marvel's summer blockbuster.

PWInsider has reported that if Batista returns at all it likely won't be until WrestleMania 31 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on March 29, 2015. There have been rumors that Batista wants to work a retirement match against Triple H at that event, but there is no indication of the WWE planning to go in that direction yet.

The company ended up not mentioning or advertising Batista's appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy which adds to the speculation that the sides may be on different wavelengths.

Batista was only supposed to take about a two-month hiatus from the WWE, but now it remains to be seen if he'll return before the biggest show of 2015.
