Goals: Liverpool - Sterling 8' Gerrard 49' Moreno 60'
Recap: Just over 90 minutes of inspired football saw Liverpool capture a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Tottenham on Sunday.
A scintillating counter-attack allowed Raheem Sterling to open the affair, with Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson providing the inch-perfect service in the eighth minute. Liverpool entered the half with a slim 1-0 lead.

Steven Gerrard was able to double the advantage three minutes after the break. A whistled foul from Eric Dier forced the official to point to the spot. Liverpool’s captain left little doubts with his finish. Alberto Moreno sealed the 3-0 victory with an individual finish just 12 minutes later.
Key Moment: Joe Allen could’ve stayed on his feet following Dier's challenge inside the area, but it’s not his job to. A poor decision gifted Liverpool a 2-0 lead. Any chance of Tottenham finding an equalizer dissipated after that.
Man of the Match: One goal, three take-ons and a near-embarrassing moment worthy of a Sportscenter appearance. Undoubtedly, Raheem Sterling left his mark at White Hart Lane.
Lesson Learned: Brendan Rodgers is more than a tactician. Many question his ability to motivate and get the most out of a troubled Balotelli. That couldn’t have been farther from the truth on Sunday. The 24-year-old seamlessly transitioned into the club’s system, pressing the ball high and forcing errors from Tottenham’s back line. With his acquisition, Liverpool remain a threat for the Premier League title.
