Jimbo Fisher, Jameis Winston and the rest of the No. 1 Florida State Seminoles start their bid to repeat as national champions with a matchup against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in AT&T Stadium.

The reigning champs are not without their struggles as they lost five players to the NFL, including first-round receiver Kelvin Benjamin, fourth-round running back Devonta Freeman and fourth-round center Bryan Stork.

Coach Fisher said that the team will not skip a beat and they will play to the strengths of the players that are in the 2014 team.

"I don't talk yards or anything like that or points," Fisher said. "It's about the efficiency of our offense and how it fits our defense. I think we can be very efficient. We just have to continue to execute whether we throw it, we run it or we keep the versatility of what passes and things we throw.

"We'll feature the talents of the players we have.”

This Florida State team has big shoes to fill as they set the FBS record for points with 723 and their 7,267 offensive yards were an ACC record.

Oklahoma State is a shell of the 10-3 team that they were in 2013. They return six starters on offense and four on defense so they will be looking for new playmakers to step up early and often. This Cowboy team is shrouded in mystery and their debut against the defending champs should tell you a lot about where the program is heading in 2014 and beyond.

Florida State has won three of four matchups with Oklahoma State. The teams haven't met since 1985.
