It's not often that odds makers are wrong. But there are exceptions, if you ask Butch Harmon.

Despite his comments to the contrary, Harmon is the leading candidate to return as Tiger Woods' swing coach, Bloomberg News reports.

Tiger Woods' struggles at Bridgestone symptomatic of his inability to outwork fellow golfers

Woods fired Sean Foley on Sunday after four years that led to Tiger's return to No. 1 in 2013 but also extended his drought in major tournaments to six years.

Bloomberg, citing multiple gambling sites, says the favorite to become Woods swing coach is Harmon, who guided Woods from 1996-2003 and helped him win eight of his majors during that span:

Tiger Woods' past obsessive workouts led to breakdown of his body.

"Harmon, who worked with Woods from 1996-2003 and helped him win eight of his 14 majors, is listed as an even-money favorite to be rehired by Paddy Power Plc (PWL), Ireland's biggest bookmaker. Harmon is the 6-4 favorite at Leeds, England-based Sky Bet, a unit of British Sky Broadcasting Group Plc (BSY), and 7-4 by online sports book Bovada.lv.

One person, however, who likely will bet against that scenario is Harmon, the swing coach himself.

"No I would not and he's not going to call and ask," Harmon said of a possible reunion, according to golfchannel.com. "I don't think he needs a swing coach. If I were advising Tiger I'd tell him, 'You're the greatest player that ever lived, just go to the range and hit shots.'"

Harmon said he thought Foley did an admirable job with Woods but nothing lasts forever.

"Sean's had great success. He has nothing to hang his head about. I called him and told him that. I told him he worked his tail for this guy," Harmon said. "Nothing lasts forever."

The same could be said about Harmon.
