According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, Schaub is dealing with nagging tendinitis in his elbow and it is unknown if the discomfort will cause him to miss time. In the same report, the Raiders say that Carr is ready to take over in the event that Schuab cannot start.

Carr has flown relatively under the radar since being drafted by the Raiders in the second round (No. 36 overall) of May’s NFL draft, but if Schaub cannot start he will be the only one in his class to start Week 1.
