WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko suffered a torn left biceps during training camp that has forced the postponement of his Sept. 6 title defense against Kubrat Pulev. The bout was slated to take place in Hamburg, Germany.

A new date for the fight has not yet been announced

"I am very disappointed the fight will not go ahead," Klitschko said on Monday. "So far I have been in top shape and had a great training camp. I am sorry for my fans as well as my opponent, Kubrat Pulev, who has surely prepared just as intensely."

The 38-year-old Klitschko has a professional record of 62-3-0 [52 knockouts]. He has not lost a fight since April 2004, when Lamon Brewster stopped him in the fifth.

Pulev, 33, has won all 20 of his pro bouts. He's knocked out 11 opponents.
