Night of Champions 2014 Rumors: Predicting And Projecting Card For Sept. 21 WWE Event [VIDEO]

With SummerSlam in the rearview mirror, the WWE is now focused on the Night of Champions pay-per-view event and WWE Network special live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Sept. 21. While no matches have been confirmed, we here at Sports World News will fantasy book the card.

In the main event, John Cena will likely be due a rematch against Brock Lesnar, so it will occur at Night of Champions as the two will cross paths one last time and we'll get a better idea of what Lesnar's future is with the company.

Another SummerSlam rematch that is likely for this show is Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton, possibly with a stipulation added to it such as a No Holds Barred Match.

There have been reports that Bray Wyatt will face Chris Jericho for the third straight event and it would make sense for it to be a Steel Cage Match to keep The Wyatt Family out of the ring.

With titles being the emphasis of the show, the Intercontinental, United States, Tag Team and Divas Championships should all be on the line. I was an original proponent of having a title unification match between Miz and Sheamus at this show, but now that Dolph Ziggler is IC Champion, that match wouldn't work.

A Miz vs. Ziggler match seems probable for the show for the IC Title while with Dean Ambrose likely out for a while to film a movie, Seth Rollins will have nothing to do and could get a United States Championship shot and win the belt in order to set up his run as "Mr. Money in the Bank" by having him use the U.S. Championship as a stepping stone to the WWE Championship.

If I were the WWE, I would take the emphasis on the titles that this event has and combine both matches, pitting The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins vs. Sheamus in an elimination title unification match for the Intercontinental and United States Championships.

Keeping with the title theme, the Tag Team Championships should be defended after being snubbed at SummerSlam. With the WWE boasting a lot of tag teams lately, this could be a good time for either a Fatal 4 Way elimination tag team match or tag team turmoil match.

In our fantasy booking, The Usos would defend the tag titles in a tag turmoil match against the new dynamic team of Big Show and Mark Henry, Goldust and Stardust, Luke Rowan and Erick Harper, Ryback and Curtis Axel and a new built up team of Cesaro and Rusev.

For the Divas Championship, the WWE can save a future Brie Bella vs. Nikki Bella one-on-one showdown by pitting them against Paige in a Triple Threat Match for the belt as AJ Lee is likely distancing herself from the company.

Elsewhere, Jack Swagger will battle Bo Dallas in a one-on-one match after Dallas criticized him for losing to Rusev at SummerSlam.
