The second game of the day and the 17th game of the Little League World Series gives us Australia and Mexico.

Australia has had one of the more up and down tournaments as they got crushed by Puerto Rico only to respond by pounding Czech Republic. The Australian squads’ confidence has to be sky high at the moment and that could prove to be a factor against Mexico.

Mexico lost to a stellar Japanese squad but they did score five runs against one of the best defensive teams in the tournament. Mexico then squeaked out a tough 4-3 win against Canada and now will play for the right to advance. Juan Garza will likely pitch for Mexico and it will be very hard for Australia to string together runs against the Mexican ace.

The loser of this match is officially eliminated from the Little League World Series, while the winner will advance to play the winner of Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
