The Toronto Raptors have been fines $25,000 by the NBA for comments that rapper and team ambassador Drake made about Kevin Durant at one of his concerts.

Wiggins Wants to be Traded to Minnesota

The NBA deemed Drake’s pitch to Durant as a violation to their anti-tampering rules when the Canadian rapper talked about what the Okalahoma City Thunder All-Star could achieve if he came to Toronto. The pitch would have been a nonissue for the NBA, but Durant was in attendance for the concert in question.

"Before we leave, I just want to show one of my brothers something," Drake announced to the crowd. "You know, my brother Kevin Durant was kind enough to come to the show tonight and watch us. I just want him to see what would happen if he came to play in Toronto. Let him know what would happen.”

After Drake’s announcement, the crowd broke out into chants of “KD” before the rapper continued on with the concert. Drake became a spokesperson for the Raptors in September 2013 and is rumored to be in charge of a potential remodel of the teams logo and uniforms.

Dwight Howard, James Harden Alienate Teammates

Durant is the topic of many free agency pitches ever since LeBron James decided to leave the Miami Heat for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Durant has said that he would consider all options when he is a free agent considering many believe he will look hard at his hometown Washington Wizards.

Kevin Durant isn't a free agent until 2016, but that hasn't stopped many teams from making efforts to lure the reigning MVP away from the Thunder.
