Two clubs looking to return to form will do battle today in a friendly between Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. The match scheduled for 7:00 a.m. ET will be held at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on NBC Sports.
With the Premier League season just six days away, today's friendly at Anfield will serve as Liverpool's final preparation. The loss of their premier attacking threat, Luis Suarez, leaves the club covered in doubt. Manager Brendan Rodgers, however, believes he has the depth to alleviate the absence of Suarez's finishing touch. "I think you'll see Daniel [Sturridge] go on another level again this season," Rodgers said (via the Daily Star). "With the confidence of a full campaign last year and scoring the goals he did."
"But we've got a number of players that go and facilitate the role of goalscoring."
A myriad of players will have to elevate their form for the club to return to prominence in 2014.
