Just a day after rumors of coach Doc Rivers leaving the Clippers, Chris Paul has addressed the Donald Sterling controversy and says he is thinking about sitting out the season if the controversial owner still has power in Los Angeles.

Paul called the situation with Sterling “unacceptable” and said he has spoken with Doc Rivers about their plans.
"That's something me and Doc are both talking about," Paul said Thursday after coaching his AAU program, CP3. "Something has to happen, and something needs to happen soon -- sooner rather than later.”
Paul said it will be a group decision and he still has to sit down with his teammates before he comes to a decision.
"We're all going to talk about it," Paul said. "We're all definitely going to talk about it. Doc, Blake [Griffin], DJ [DeAndre Jordan]. It's unacceptable.”
Clippers training camp begins in October and closing arguments in the probate court case are set for Monday. At that time, a judge will rule if Sterling's wife, Shelly, sold the team to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer properly.
The Clippers sold for a record $2 billion, but Sterling has vowed that he will fight for his team as long as he is alive. The basketball standpoint of the Clippers looks to be in deep trouble if they cannot come to an agreement that gets their coach and players on the court.
If the Clippers enter the season without Rivers and the core group of players, they will be one of the worst teams in the league after having a fantastic season in 2013-14.
