With WWE SummerSlam set to air on Aug. 17 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, it has been announced that John Cena will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar in the main event while the rest of the card has yet to be determined.

The Cena vs. Lesnar match has long been speculated and it has been rumored that Lesnar will win the title fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, but it remains to be seen in what direction the company will go.

There have been reports that Lesnar would win the belt and then likely lose it the next month at Night of Champions or somehow carry it through to a WrestleMania 31 match with Roman Reigns.

The WWE released a new promotional video for the Cena vs. Lesnar match, which is expected to close the show in Los Angeles and is being promoted as "The biggest fight of the summer."

There are three other rumored matches for the biggest show of the summer, including Reigns vs. Randy Orton, Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt and Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella.

Orton was revealed by Triple H on Monday Night RAW to be his hand-picked SummerSlam opponent for Cena, but after he was attacked by Reigns and Lesnar emerged, things were changed. Reigns attacking Orton will likely lead to their SummerSlam match which could bridge into a Reigns vs. Triple H match at Night of Champions on Sept. 21 in Nashville.

Jericho and Wyatt have been feuding since Jericho's return, and "Y2J" earned a victory over Wyatt at Battleground this past Sunday, but after the events of RAW, this feud is far from over and another match will likely occur at SummerSlam.

Bella and McMahon have been feuding for quite some time over McMahon's treatment of injured WWE Superstar and Bella's husband Daniel Bryan. The feud escalated on RAW Monday when McMahon slapped Bella -- who was in the crowd as a fan after "quitting" the company -- and was subsequently arrested.

Nikki Bella will likely continue to be involved as McMahon has punished her on-screen and a heel turn has been rumored for her. Bella and McMahon will likely clash at SummerSlam, possibly with Bella's job on the line.

Another match that has been rumored is WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. WWE United States Champion Sheamus, possibly title-for-title.

The card for SummerSlam on Aug. 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles remains up in the air, but it will continue to take shape over the next few weeks on WWE television.
