It was reported a few months ago that the WWE renewed Rey Mysterio's contract without his consent and now rumors have surfaced that the master of the 619 has not been cashing his paychecks, leading to speculation that he wants out of his deal.
Nikki Bella Possibly Turning Heel Soon
The WWE picked up an option on Mysterio's contract automatically because he has missed so much time due to injuries over the past couple of years and the organization felt as though he owed them some time back.
There is an option on WWE contracts where the company can exercise a clause to automatically renew a Superstar's contract if they miss significant time due to injury, which Mysterio has.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is some concern over whether or not Mysterio will return to action for the WWE and Mysterio has reportedly stopped cashing any of his WWE paychecks, which could be a sign that he is contemplating taking legal action against the WWE to get out of his deal.
Mysterio, who has been with the WWE since 2002, has suffered a myriad of injuries over the last few years and has scarcely been healthy enough to make regular appearances for the organization, leading to the company opting to use the clause they had on his contract.
Mysterio last appeared for the company in April when he was a participant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX on April 6. Mysterio then fought in a losing effort against Bad News Barrett the following night on Monday Night RAW and hasn't been seen since then as he took time off to heal a wrist injury.
Mysterio has reportedly contemplated retiring from the squared circle due to the years of wear-and-tear he's put on his body, which could be a reason why he reportedly didn't want his WWE contract renewed, especially without his consent.
Mysterio, 39, is a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, one-time WWE Champion and won the 2006 Royal Rumble match on top of other accomplishments, but it is unknown if he will return to a WWE ring anytime soon.
