Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard has presented another example of his loyalty. Or lack thereof.

Rockets general manager: Team has better chance to win title without Chandler Parsons

CBSSports.com, using an Associated Press report as a source, reported that Howard completely dissed former teammate Chandler Parsons.

Parsons signed a three-year, $45-million offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks that the Rockets refused to match. Reports surfaced that the Rockets were prepared to match it until free agent Chris Bosh jilted Houston to remain with the Miami Heat.

"It won't affect us at all. We have myself and James (Harden)," Howard said. "We have the best center and the best two guard in the game on the same team. It's on us."

Chandler Parsons approves of Orlando Magic fans booing Dwight Howard

It's a harsh observation from Howard for the man that was instrumental in luring him away from the Los Angeles Lakers during his free-agent tour last summer.

Parson and Howard exchanged several text messages and phone calls when Howard was visiting teams, and Howard gave Parsons a lot of credit during his introductory news conference in Houston for the way Parsons recruited him.

Howard praised new teammate Trevor Ariza, calling him a "soldier," CBSSports.com reported.

It's another slap in the face for Parsons. Earlier, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey also indicated that the Rockets were in a better state to position themselves to win a championship without matching the Mavericks' offer sheet for Parsons.

Howard has a history of selfishness. He reportedly asked for the Orlando Magic to fire coach Stan Van Gundy, which they did - only to watch him leave via free agency. He then turned his back on the Lakers after just one season, reportedly because he didn't want to take a backseat to Kobe Bryant.

At least, Parsons might feel better about leaving the Rockets for the Mavericks after Howard turned his back on him.
