There have been rumors that Bill Goldberg will return to the WWE for the first time in over a decade in the near future, but while he and the WWE haven't been able to strike a deal for a comeback, the former WCW and WWE Champion remains open to it.

Goldberg spoke with The Phoenix New Times about possibly re-joining the WWE and he said he remains willing, but he hasn't been able to come to terms with the company.

"I've expressed my desire...well, not my desire, my willingness to maybe consider it again, but I've said it once, I've said it 50,000 times, once they learn how to do business, then I'd consider it," Goldberg told the paper.

Even though the two sides haven't agreed to anything and Goldberg and Triple H spoke about a comeback but couldn't hash anything out, Goldberg said he would really like to come back some time in the future.

"I'd love to do it too, man. I mean, like I said, I've said it before, I think the WWE and I will never see eye to eye, so I don't think [it] will be very logical, and I think the chances of seeing me elsewhere are between zero and zero, unless it's Japan or unless somebody comes out to be a competitor to [WWE's owner Vince McMahon], because I'm not just gonna do it to do it," he said.

Goldberg said for now he's focusing on his upcoming movie Minkow in September, and that he doesn't need to come back just because his last match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX was ripped on by the crowd at Madison Square Garden, which peppered them with jeers over the fact that both were leaving the company.

"I don't need to vindicate anything because of my last match against Brock Lesnar, by no stretch of the imagination," Goldberg said. "Because I haven't seen anybody press [slam] him over their head yet. When that's a normal occasion, then I won't feel as though I accomplished very much. But I haven't seen anyone jackhammer The Giant [a.k.a. WWE's The Big Show] yet. So, if I'm the 'flash in the pan,' as a couple people have said I was, so be it. But this 'flash in the pan' put a--es in seats, money in a lot of people's pockets, and I was able to jackhammer The Giant at will."

It remains to be seen if Goldberg -- who went 173-0 during his debut run in WCW -- will return to the squared circle, but he at least has interest in coming back to the WWE.
