The Cleveland Cavaliers lost LeBron James once because they couldn't put him in the best position possible to win an NBA title. They don't intend to lose James again.

So when James reached out to Minnesota Timberwolves big man Kevin Love to express his desire for Love to join the Cavaliers, the franchise suddenly announced it would consider including No. 1 draft choice Andrew Wiggins to acquire Love.
Yahoo! Sports reported that James wanted Love to join him in Cleveland, according to sources, and that Love is excited about the idea of teaming up with the No. 1 player in the world.

Yahoo! Sports, however, added that the Cavaliers likely would need to bring in additional teams to make the trade work out and that a deal is not imminent.
But Ken Berger of CBSSports.com said that James wields enough power, in the NBA and in Cleveland to get what he wants.
"This was true during his first tour with the Cavs, when his close friends and associates were given enormous latitude and influence within the organization. It was evident in the team's personnel moves, with former GM Danny Ferry doing everything in his power to keep James from leaving in 2010 -- from Shaquille O'Neal to Antawn Jamison to a failed bid to acquire Amar'e Stoudemire.
"James' influence has never been more tangible than it is now, with the four-time MVP agreeing to a two-year, $42 million deal to return to Cleveland -- a contract that includes a player option after next season."
The Golden State Warriors still are in negotiations with the Cavaliers to acquire Love but are not willing to part with guard Klay Thompson, which has stalled that process.
And Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor told ESPN he would prefer to keep Love in Minnesota in hopes of building a team around Love that would entices the big man to stay.
