With LeBron James returning to Cleveland after a four-year stay in Miami, could Dwyane Wade be the next to go home?

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Chicago Bulls are interested in a deal that would bring the Heat superstar back to his hometown now that his ex-partner has bolted out of Miami.

The Bulls would want to bring back the 32-year old Wade even though the recent Finals showed that he's no longer the explosive guard he used to be. Still, the Bulls think he can be the perfect backcourt partner of former MVP Derrick Rose who himself is recovering from injury.

On Friday, James announced that he was returning to Cleveland, leaving behind a Miami Heat franchise that he led to four straight NBA Finals and two NBA championships. The Heat, however, got a break later in the day when their All-Star big man Chris Bosh made it clear that he was not abandoning ship.

Wade opted out of the two years, $42 million left on his contract with the hope that management can restructure deals that will give them enough cap flexibility to sign James and Bosh to maximum contracts, and still have enough money to sign other top free agents. It was also widely speculated that Wade was open to getting less money just to help the team be competitive in the next few seasons.

Wade grew up in Chicago and even thought of signing as a free agent with the Bulls in 2010. But knee problems have limited his production in the past couple of seasons which could have contributed in James' decision to leave Miami and join a younger team in Cleveland.
