In the midst of rumors that Sting may make his WWE debut on this week's Monday Night RAW after a Twitter tease and reports that Daniel Bryan may need another surgery that could sideline him for several more months, WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross took to his blog at Jrsbarbq.com to share his thoughts on those topics.
The Rock Unlikely To Appear At WrestleMania 31
Sting took to his official Twitter account, which he rarely tweets from, and sent out a picture of himself in his classic white and black face paint and then tweeted out this Monday's date as if to hint at something big happening.
The tweets led to speculation that the former WCW and TNA icon will make his long awaited WWE debut on RAW on Monday at the Richmond Coliseum in Virginia while there have also been reports that he may just be hyping an upcoming WWE DVD or his appearance in the WWE 2K15 video game.
Emma Not Backstage At RAW One Week After Arrest
Sting has reportedly had a WWE contract in his possession for months but has yet to sign it. Ross talked about Sting's teaser and what it could possibly mean.
"Lots of @Sting speculation as to what 7-14-14 means but to spill the beans, if I knew, would be to spoil a cool surprise," Ross wrote on his blog. "Needless to say, I'd suggest, without leading anyone astray, that watching RAW Monday night would be judicious."
Ross also touched on Bryan after reports indicated that he may need to undergo shoulder surgery as he hasn't fully recovered properly from neck surgery he underwent in mid-May. Bryan could now be sidelined for several months if a second surgery is needed due to the fact that he hasn't regained full feeling in his arm.
"Not sure what to believe or not to believe regarding the physical status of Daniel Bryan but most of what I'm reading isn't positive," Ross blogged. "Often times a surgery will reveal other issues and it seems that may have been the case here. The bottom line to this entire matter is to get Bryan healthy and, above all else, not to rush him back into the ring."
Ross also said he is confident that the WWE wouldn't allow the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion back into the squared circle if he wasn't completely healthy.
"I feel confident that WWE would never allow this to occur but certainly in the territory days of years gone by promoters would want the talents to get back in the ring ASAP," Ross wrote. "Plus, the talents themselves would push the envelope because most of them did not have guaranteed contracts and if they did not work they did not get paid notwithstanding they paid their own medical bills. Times have changed much for the better in those areas."
While a lot of it is speculation, Ross touched on two of the most polarizing topics in the WWE right now as there is some belief Sting may make his debut while the news for Bryan appears to be grim.
