Marcus Stroman (4-2, 3.44 ERA) mans the mound for the Blue Jays while the Angels counter with C.J. Wilson, who is 8-6 with a 4.23 ERA.

Los Angeles hopes tthat Wilson will continue to play solid at home as his splits at Angel Stadium are favorable over his numbers on the road, though he has struggled at home is last couple of starts.

"He needs to get into good zones with all his pitches and get more quality strikes earlier in the count than he has been," said Angels manager Mike Scioscia, according to MLB.com. "If he does that, I think you're going to see him get back into that mode of getting ahead and putting hitters away the way that he does when he's very successful."

Stroman, his rookie counterpart, is coming off of an outing where he limited the Oakland Athletics to three hits in seven scoreless innings.

"I feel comfortable. I feel like I've gotten into a pretty good groove," Stroman said per MLB.com. "Just trying to help the team win each and every start up here."

Despite being without Edwin Encarnacion, the Blue Jays have had a formidable offense as we reach the halfway point of the MLB season.
