WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross took to his blog at Jrsbarbq.com to discuss a few different topics, including Ronda Rousey potentially ending up in the WWE, upcoming projects with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and he also once again touched on WWE Diva Emma's arrest.
UFC Fighter Ronda Rousey Discusses Possible WWE Apperance, CM Punk's Departure
Rousey, the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, is a noted WWE fan and the company has hoped to get her on board for a SummerSlam appearance next month. Ross speculated on whether or not Rousey would appear for the company and he added that WrestleMania 31 would be the perfect location.
"Yes, I'd love to see Ronda Rousey make an appearance at WM31 even though I know it's a long shot at very best," Ross wrote. "Ronda could be in someone's corner, a ref, or even compete with a female talent like Natalya or AJ Lee, for example, but please no intergender matches which anyone with a modicum of common sense can't and won't take seriously. Rousey is the hottest star today in UFC and is going to make a big splash in the film business sooner than later with multiple films in the can."
Preview And Possible Spoilers For Monday Night RAW
Ross also noted that the WWE budget cuts that forced the company to postpone its Tough Enough tapings from this month to October affected some plans he had with Austin, a fellow WWE Hall of Famer.
"WWE has postponed the taping of Tough Enough, according to Internet reports, until October from July," Ross blogged. "This had an impact on some projects that Steve Austin and I were going to do together which is unfortunate. Nonetheless we will circle our wagons and release more info when it's timely."
Ross, who came to the defense of WWE Diva Tenille "Emma" Dashwood after she was arrested last week for shoplifting at a Wal-Mart department store, once again touched on the subject of her arrest. Emma was released and then re-hired within hours by the WWE after she stole an iPod case from the department store, which she later deemed an accident.
"Does [anyone] else feel that this unfortunate incident with Emma has been blown somewhat out of proportion? Not condoning it but it's not exactly like she committed a felony," Ross wrote. "Should she be punished? Of course, but is it a headline making story on the IWC? Not in my opinion. Emma has received a valuable second chance that she should do all that she can to make the most of."
Ross also made mention of his upcoming autobiography and hyped the forthcoming Part 2 of his interview with Kurt Angle for his Ross Report podcast in a lengthy blog post that can be viewed in its entirety by clicking here.
