It has been speculated for a while now that Brock Lesnar will take on John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event at SummerSlam, and Lesnar's return to the company could come at Battleground on July 20 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida.

Updated Summer Plans For Chris Jericho

Lesnar is expected to contest for the gold fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, though how many appearances he'll be making between SummerSlam and next spring's WrestleMania 31 is up in the air.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is a good chance that Lesnar returns to the company at Battleground later this month as Triple H has teased a 'Plan B' for Cena should he escape Tampa Bay with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he faces Randy Orton, Kane and Roman Reigns at the event.

Four Big Matches Penciled In For SummerSlam

It is possible that Cena will retain and then get attacked by Lesnar to bridge to their match at the second biggest show of the year and most important show of the summer.

While it has been rumored that Lesnar will win the gold and then lose it at Night of Champions on Sept. 21 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, his schedule is very much up in the air. It has been rumored that he will take on Reigns at WrestleMania 31 as a way to elevate Reigns and give him a big babyface moment at the show of shows.

Lesnar is guaranteed to be at SummerSlam and Night of Champions, but his schedule beyond that is a question aside from the speculation that he'll appear at Battleground.

Lesnar is also likely for the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 31, but it's doubtful that he will be given a long title reign given how much time he would be missing.

There was speculation that he'd win the title at SummerSlam then lose it to Reigns at WrestleMania 31, but it is doubtful he'll be able to carry the gold for several months due to the uncertainty of his part-time schedule.
