The Houston Rockets may have found a team willing to trade for guard Jeremy Lin in the Philadelphia 76ers which reportedly is interested in acquiring the ex-Knick sensation depending on the assets that the Rockets would send in return.

Per ESPN, the Sixers have enough cap space to absorb the massive contract of Lin. The Rockets would want to move Lin so that it will have enough payroll space to sign free agent forward Chris Bosh whom the team thinks will pair well with center Dwight Howard.

Now the Rockets are believed to send at least a future first round pick to Philly in order for the Sixers to consider absorbing Lin's contract worth $15 million though only $8.4 million is counted for salary cap purposes.

Sources close to ESPN say the Sixers believe there is room for Lin in their backcourt despite the presence of Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams.

The website reports that Sixers GM Sam Hinkie has close ties with Rockets counterpart Daryl Morey.

The Rockets are busy finding a taker for Lin so that they'll have cap space to sign Bosh. The team had recently traded reserve center Omer Asik to New Orleans as part of their cap saving moves in hopes of netting a big free agent this off-season.

While the team is one of the numerous squads hoping to sign star forward Carmelo Anthony, the Rockets also believe that Bosh is the perfect stretch four to complement Howard and make the lane easier for guard James Harden to penetrate.
