Roman Reigns is expected to be groomed as the next top babyface in the WWE over the next couple of months, and it could lead to a headlining match at WrestleMania 31 against Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar is expected to battle John Cena in the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam on Aug. 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles where he'll likely win the belt fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX.

Lesnar is then expected to lose the belt back to Cena at the Sept. 21 Night of Champions pay-per-view that emanates from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville before taking time off and coming back for WrestleMania season in early 2015.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, it is still a plan for the company to have Lesnar win the belt from Cena this summer while the company will continue to build towards a Reigns vs. Lesnar clash at WrestleMania 31 at Levi's Stadium next March.

The WWE is planning on having Reigns go over Lesnar at the biggest event of the year as a way to give him his huge babyface moment at the show of shows to put him fully on the map as the next torch bearer for the company.

It isn't confirmed that Lesnar will be winning the title at SummerSlam but there is a strong chance after Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania that he'll win the belt sometime this summer. The WWE is planning on SummerSlam and Night of Champions to be huge events in order to have fans renew their WWE Network subscriptions in order to watch the events on the network.

Reigns was slated to face Triple H at SummerSlam but there have been reports that the WWE may push that clash back to Night of Champions and have Reigns battle Randy Orton at the August event instead.

The Reigns vs. Lesnar match at WrestleMania 31 may not prove to be for the title as it could just be a high-profile match on the card.

With The Shield broken up and Reigns beginning his singles push, it should be an interesting and busy year for the former Shield member, which is expected to come full circle at WrestleMania 31.
