Dwyane Wade's ex-wife has filed suit against one of his attorneys and the Dolton police department, claiming both assaulted her and later filed false charges against her.

In her federal lawsuit, Siohvaugn Funches-Wade also alleges that attorney James Pritikin and Dolton police "worked together in a common plan to cause false charges to be initiated against her."

Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union engaged

The 32-year-old Miami Heat star and his one-time high school sweetheart have feuded since divorcing in 2007. He was awarded custody of the couple's two son, in 2011. They were married for more than five years.

According to the Florida Sun-Sentinel, Funches-Wade was taken into custody at her South Holland home on June 16, 2012, on charges of child-abduction, unlawful visitation interference and resisting arrest. She was arrested after reportedly refusing to return the children to the star guard's sister so they could visit their father in Florida.

In her suit, Funches-Wade claims she was "violently attacked," causing her to suffer a torn rotator cuff. Over the last several months, media reports have estimated the couple's legal expenses at more than $10 million, with Funches-Wade having gone through several attorneys over the years.

Funches-Wade also once claimed to be homeless, even though Wade was rumored to be paying her more than $25,000 a month and also paying her home mortgage. Wade, reportedly, paid her a $5 million settlement.

Wade, who also recently legally adopted another young nephew, is now engaged to actress Gabrielle Union - they are expected to marry this summer.
