Derrick Rose is ready to play now if the Bulls' season started today, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Rose has reportedly started engaging in one-one and even three-on-three drills and is expected to compete for a spot on the Team USA squad set to compete internationally this summer under the guidance of coach Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski.

The Tribune reported Rose has suffered no setbacks and is even ahead of schedule in his rehab after his second straight season-ending knee injury.The 25-year-old former league MVP has already vowed to come back as strong as ever for the Bulls, who despite having him for just 10 games last season won 48 games this season and qualified as the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The Bulls are already rumored to be prepared to go all in this summer in improving their roster. The team is considered one of the favorites to land free-agent to be Carmelo Anthony, the league's No. 2 overall scorer behind MVP Kevin Durant, and the perfect compliment to Rose's versatile style of play..

Rose has averaged 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds over his five-year NBA career. His best season came during his 2010-11 MVP season, when he averaged 25 points, eight assists and four rebounds.

Rose also starred at Memphis, where he led the Tigers' to the NCAA title game in 2008 and propelled himself to being the No. 1 overall pick draft pick by the Bulls.
