Miami Heat star guard Ray Allen is considering calling it a career at the end of the NBA Finals.

The NBA's all-time leading 3-point shooter, Allen, 39, officially becomes a free agent next month, but it may not matter.

"I guess everything is factored into the decision," Allen told the Boston Globe before the Heat's Game 4 loss Thursday night to the San Antonio Spurs. "You get away from it, you sit down and get an opportunity to think about it. It depends on how my body feels. I love the condition I've been in over the last couple of years. It's just a natural progression."

Known as one of the league's best conditioned athletes, Allen added he still gets a rush when competing against the league's younger studs.

"I don't look at this as an age thing for me, it's never been an age thing," he told The Globe. "I always laugh because I see the birthdates of some of the younger guys. They're born in the '90s. In the '90s! I was kicking it hard in the '90s. So, being in the locker room with younger guys, you talk about the athleticism, you talk about the strength, if anything, it rubs off on you to always keep your mind sharp, to always keep your body on point."

Allen averaged 10 points, three rebounds and two assists this season. The 17-year veteran's best season came with Seattle in 2006-07 when he averaged 26 points, five rebounds and four assists.
