Today at 2:07 p.m. ET, the Cleveland Indians (33-32) and Kansas City Royals (32-32) take the field at Kauffman Stadium for the final contest of their brief two-game set. The game can be live streamed here. Cleveland fans can hear all of the action on WTAM 1100 while Kansas City fans can do the same on KCSP 610.

Cleveland continues its 10-game road trip that it is currently 3-2 on while Kansas City hosts the final contest of a six-game homestand that it is currently 3-1 on with a postponement. The Indians enter play in second place in the American League Central while Kansas City sits a half-game back in third.

Kansas City took the opening game from Cleveland 9-5 on Tuesday and will look for the two-game sweep. Trevor Bauer (1-2, 4.08 ERA) mans the mound for the Indians while the Royals counter with Yordano Ventura, who is 3-5 with a 3.41 ERA.

Ventura, still a rookie, is learning to navigate through the MLB and he gave up two runs, seven hits and two walks against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday after skipping a turn in the rotation to rest his elbow.

"It changes so fast, every day you have to make adjustments and more adjustments," Ventura said about being in the league via MLB.com.

Bauer is coming off of an outing where he allowed four runs and lasted 6.1 innings against the Texas Rangers en route to a no-decision.

"Last outing he probably got a little conscious about pitching in a little too much," Indians manager Terry Francona told MLB.com. "It's something we do stress a lot, because I think it opens up the plate, especially with some of the bigger guys because if you let them get their arms extended they hurt you."

Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer is hitting .259 with three homers and 29 RBIs and ranks tied for third in the AL with 20 doubles and fourth with 16 stolen bases. Outfielder Alex Gordon leads the team with seven homers and 35 RBIs.

Indians outfielder Michael Brantley is fourth in the MLB with 46 runs scored and leads the Indians in homers (10) and RBIs (43) while outfielder Michael Bourn is tied for second in the league with five triples.

Two AL Central rivals close out a brief two-game stint when the Indians and Royals clash this afternoon at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
