The Sacramento Kings are hell-bent on retaining the services of forward Rudy Gay next season that they are bringing in two Hall of Famers in hopes of convincing the ex-Raptor to exercise his team option for next season.

According to Yahoo! Sports, sources have told them that the Kings are bringing in Hall of Famers Chris Mullin and ex-Kings star Mitch Richmond alongside owner Vivek Ranadive, GM Pete D'Alessandro, and coach Michael Malone in meeting with Gay in Sacramento. The high-scoring forward has until June 30 to decide whether he'll exercise his player option in his contract that will pay him $19.3 million next season.

Gay has been mum on his plans next season. According to Yahoo!, Gay told them that he's just taking his time on deciding what he'll do next season. Should he opt in for next season, Gay might also enter into extension talks with the Kings.

The Kings will also reportedly give Gay a virtual digital tour of the new Kings Arena that is expected to be opened in 2016. The digital tour will give the forward an idea of how their home should look like, including the arena floor and locker room.

The Kings acquired Gay from Toronto last year as part of a seven-player trade. The Kings believe he is the perfect complement to star center DeMarcus Cousins. He had averages of 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 55 games for the Kings last year. Even with his presence, the Kings still wound up with the third-worst record out West with a 28-54 slate.
