LeBron James admits even he feels his body betrayed him in Game 1 of the NBA Finals after he was forced to the bench for the last several minutes with severe cramps.

James spent Friday taking at least two and a half bags of intravenous fluids and added supplements, all in hopes of avoiding the kind of meltdown he experienced Thursday night.

"For obvious reasons, I was angry, I was disappointed in myself," James told. "I did everything that I needed to do to prepare for this game, prepare for this moment and to feel like my body failed me. I was angry in the fact that I couldn't help my team get over the hump. In a huge Game 1, I wanted to make a statement."

James' saving grace seems he's convinced he'll be able to play at full strength come Sunday's Game 2. Still, James has taken a beaten on social media over his inability to return to action down the stretch.

LeBron James to launch new Sprite soft drink

"I really don't care what people say about me," said James. "I don't care about that drink group ... I'm not even going to say their name," he added in an apparent reference to disparging tweets Gatorade made about him not being hydrated enough. "This is about the Spurs and the Heat, and it's not about everybody else. I don't care."

On Friday, the Spurs released a statement indicating the air-conditioning system at the At&T Center has been repaired and is operational.
