The Minnesota Timberwolves have named their president of basketball operations Flip Saunders their next head coach. Saunders has been given the job after the other candidates didn’t live up to the standard Minnesota wanted their coach to have. Does Saunders becoming the next coach in Minnesota impact what will happen with Kevin Love?

ESPN's Jackie MacMullan had the latest on Love to the Celtics, but it is unsure how Saunders being the team's next coach will impact any potential trade.

There's only one problem with all these dizzying (and highly speculative) scenarios: They are meaningless unless the first domino -- Love actually coming to Boston -- falls. According to team and league sources, that isn't happening any time soon because the Timberwolves are less than enamored with what Boston can offer them.

The No. 6 pick isn't quite so sexy. The Celtics can offer only some combination of that pick and the following: the valuable future Brooklyn picks, the 17th pick this year, Jared Sullinger, Kelly Olynyk, Jeff Green, Brandon Bass, Keith Bogans' expiring $5.05 million contract (if they can do it before July 1).

FOX Sports' Sam Amico reports that the Sacramento Kings have emerged as the “favorite” for any potential Love trade as they are willing to part with anything they own except DeMarcus Cousins.

The Kevin Love saga is changing by the day and it’s all a matter go whose word you believe and whose you don’t. The Timberwolves have answered one major question as to the future of the franchise, but what they do with their best player will likely change the framework of the team more. Saunders coached Minnesota once before from 1995-2005.
