One of the many issues the Indiana Pacers will be dealing with this off-season is the status of their head coach Frank Vogel who has long been rumored to be on the way out especially after the Pacers fell short of their goal of winning the NBA championship.

But it appears that the Pacers won't be making any coaching changes, with Yahoo! Sports reporting that Vogel will return next season to coach Paul George and company.

According to sources close to Yahoo!, management of the Pacers never considered replacing Vogel. The sources also said that Pacers president Larry Bird and general manager Kevin Pritchard remain strong supporters of Vogel despite the Pacers inconsistent play in the second half of the season that stretched into the playoffs.

Vogel is in his fourth year with the Pacers and has a 167-100 win-loss record. He has led the Pacers to back-to-back Central Division championships, with a 56-win record this season that gave them the top seed in the East. Of course, that was not enough for the Pacers to dethrone the defending champion Miami Heat, who bested them in six games including a lopsided 117-92 win in game six.

The sources added that most of the rumors regarding the possible ouster of Vogel came from unemployed coaches who were hoping to contend for Vogel's spot in Indiana.

With Vogel's services retained, the Pacers will have other issues to address like the future of shooting guard Lance Stephenson who will be a free agent this summer as well as All-Star center Roy Hibbert.
