The Oscar Pistorius murder trial is in a one-month hiatus while the former Olympian receives a psych evaluation. Pistorius has been busy in his time away from court as he has sold the home in which he shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The trial began on March 3 and was expected to run until March 20, but numerous factors played a part now that it is projected to run into July. The trial will resume on June 30 after Pistorius mental evaluation is compete.

In a March 20 statement by, Pistorius’ lawyer, Brian Webber urged him to sell his home.

“Due to the delay in finalizing the trial, the decision to urgently dispose of his single biggest asset, has had to be made,”

“Mr. Pistorius cannot contemplate ever returning to live there again,”

All of Pistorius’ personal items have been removed from the home and the terms of the sale have not beed disclosed. The home was valued at a little over $450,000 at the time of his bail hearing, but the current value is unknown. Pistorius had not returned to the house as of March 20.

Pistorius, the first double amputee to ever run in the Olympics, is facing a 25 to life in prison if convicted of premeditated murder. Even if Pistorius is found not guilty of murder, he could still be convicted of culpable homicide, South Africa’s version of manslaughter for negligent killing.
