WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was back on his blog at Jrsbarbq.com and answered questions from fans about Dolph Ziggler's connection with the crowds, his thoughts on Pat Patterson's importance in the WWE and the gimmicks of Adam Rose and Alicia Fox.

WWE Magazine Potentially Spoils The Shield's Breakup

Ross was asked if there was a disconnect between the fans and Ziggler, who has been buried by WWE creative in recent months.

"I don't sense a disconnect but I respect your opinion," Ross wrote. "Ziggler gets on a roll and his world changes quickly for the better. I don't know why that hasn't occurred. It's rather obvious to me that Dolph Ziggler is one of the most [under-utilized] WWE talents in recent years."

Ross also addressed the importance of Pat Patterson, who was the first WWE Intercontinental Champion in WWE history as a wrestler and became one of Vince McMahon's most trusted advisors after he retired from the ring.

Patterson has often been credited as the man who came up with the Royal Rumble concept and he has been a big part of many WrestleManias, including the first one where he refereed the main event tag bout between the team of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff.

"For the lack of a better term Pat has been like an assistant head coach in WWE and has a brilliant mind for ring psychology and finishes especially in big bouts," Ross wrote. "Pat understands basic fundamentals as well as anyone I've been around. He is missed re: the day to day."

Ross also spoke of Rose, who recently debuted in the WWE, and Fox, who had a change of character and is facing Paige for the WWE Divas Championship Sunday at Payback.

"I get and have enjoyed the Alicia Fox creative but I haven't related to the Adam Rose business but hope that he is successful. He can wrestle," Ross wrote.

Ross frequently updates his blog and Q&A section, and arguably the biggest takeaway from his latest post is that the WWE has appeared to give up on Ziggler.
