Former Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham may have decided that the NFL is the only place left for him to go. Reports surface that the controversial receiver will skip out on the 2014 season and focus on the 2015 NFL draft.

Green-Beckham is considered one of the top receiver prospects of the 2015 draft regardless of what he does this coming season and the media has mixed feelings about what this could do to his stock.

Green-Backham spoke about his struggles and attempted to fix his image by explaining that he is trying at the end of the day.

First and most importantly, I take responsibility for my conduct and my mistakes. Don’t blame my girlfriend or her friends for anything. I am not looking for sympathy. I thank those who have given me concern.

I have been young and dumb. I want to be better. During my suspension I’m entering counseling. With help, I know I can be stronger emotionally and spiritually. My relationship with God, my family, friends, teammates and coaches are most important in my life, not football.

It may not be possible to fix everything, but it won’t be for not trying.

Chase Goodbread of NFL.com doesn't believe this is the best idea for Green-Beckham.

For a player with more years of college eligibility remaining (two) than productive years as a college player (one), it would be the riskiest of moves.

Green-Beckham has plenty of time to right the ship, but it starts with preparing for the 2015 draft and proving that he has put all the negative behind him. It is still not known if Green-Beckham will sit out the 2014 season, but early indications are that he will let it pass completely.
