WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is expected to be at the SmackDown tapings Tuesday night in Atlanta, but it is unclear if "The Nature Boy" will be on the actual show itself or just making an appearance backstage.

Updated Card and Rumors For Sunday's WWE Payback

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Flair is expected to be at Tuesday's tapings in Atlanta, but it's not certain whether or not he will have an on-screen role at the show after it was revealed last week that he is due to return to WWE television soon.

Flair can't return to television until he completes the WWE's medical testing, however according to the report, Flair has likely yet to complete the medical testing and may not be returning to television just yet. It is possible that he is showing up to the tapings just to visit or even to do some work for the WWE Network.

WWE Champ Daniel Bryan Expected To Be At Payback

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall is expected to be at the Atlanta tapings as well to do some work for the WWE Network. It was reported last week that Hall missed an appearance alongside his son Cody for WrestleFest in California due to the fact that he was "in a dark place" and couldn't get out of bed.

It was concerning for those close to Hall, as he's had well-documented battles with substance abuse over the years, but reports then came out that he checked himself into a hospital and that he was given a clean bill of health. It's unknown what shook him up enough to have him miss the appearance, but it seems as though he is okay and he even tweeted some positive messages following the reports surfacing.

As for Flair, it had been reported that he has an offer on the table for a prominent television role and that he would likely server as a manager. Flair reportedly hoped to manage Dolph Ziggler, but with the WWE not set to push the "Show-Off," Flair will likely continue his past program with The Miz or guide The Shield.

Flair has made sporadic appearances in the WWE but hasn't wrestled in a WWE ring since Shawn Michaels defeated him to retire him at WrestleMania XXIV in 2008, though he has also appeared on WWE NXT alongside his daughter, who goes under the ring name Charlotte.

It remains to be seen if he appears on SmackDown itself, but Flair is slated to be at the WWE tapings on Tuesday night in Atlanta.
