Could Tom Thibodeau be on the trading block?

CBSSports.com reports the Memphis Grizzlies are contemplating contacting the Bulls about possibly acquiring Thibodeau via a first-round draft pick Chicago may be interested in obtaining as part of a planned attempt to land Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love.

Phil Jackson, Knicks interested in Tom Thibodeau?

Set to become a free agent in 2015, Love has let the Wolves know he has no plans of resigning with the team after next season, meaning short of dealing him before then the team will be faced with losing the All-Star forward without receiving any compensation.

The Grizzlies announced on Monday that CEO Jason Levien and assistant GM Syu Lash were being terminated, paving the way for Thibodeau to take over in a role similar to that Stan Van Gundy just landed with the Detroit Pistons.

Tom Thibodeau at odds with Bulls front office?

With Derrick Rose already set to return next season, the Bulls have hinted they plan to be especially active this summer in trying to land more scoring in hopes of making a deeper playoff run in 2015. The team is also rumored to be considering making a play for Knicks free-agent-to-be forward Carmelo Anthony.

With Thibodeau gone, CBS Sports speculates the Bulls might turn to Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg as a top coaching candidate, as he's known to have a close relationship with GM Gar Forman, with whom Thibodeau has publicly had his problems with since late last year when the team moved to terminate assistant coach and close confidant Ron Adams.
