WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will be sidelined for at least a couple of months as he recovers from neck surgery, but the WWE has teased a Monday Night RAW appearance for the creator of the "YES! Movement."

Bryan had a routine and minor procedure on Thursday to repair a minor broken neck that he sustained over the course of his career from wear and tear due to his in-ring style. Bryan's original timetable for a return was for the SummerSlam pay-per-view in August, but that reportedly isn't set in stone.
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is a lot of talk backstage within the WWE that the 2-3 month timeline for Bryan to be sidelined was a best-case scenario and not a definitive schedule for his return. The report indicates that everything would have to go perfectly for that to be the case and that he could very well be out longer as he begins the road to recovery following the procedure.
Vince McMahon Causing Problems Backstage For Triple H?
The WWE had plans for Bryan to defend his title against Kane in a Buried Alive match at Payback on June 1 in Chicago, however the injury caused the company to change its plans. The company plans to address the WWE Championship picture on Monday Night RAW from London as they're likely to strip Bryan of the title due to the uncertainty of when he'll be able to return.
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, while the WWE is advertising Bryan for an appearance on RAW, it will likely not be in a live capacity. While it's not official, word going around in the WWE is that the company will air a taped interview with Bryan and that it won't be a live in-person appearance since he just had surgery just three days ago.
Vince McMahon likely also won't be at RAW because he is addressing stockholders at WWE headquarters Monday morning.
Bryan took to Twitter following his surgery to reveal a message to the WWE Universe:
Thank you to all the people who have wished me well during my surgery. You give me strength and you are my motivation to get back ASAP.

It's been an up-and-down time for Bryan as he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on April 6 at WrestleMania and married Brie Bella shortly after, but upon returning from his honeymoon he learned of the passing of his father then lost his friend and fan Connor "Crusher" Michalek to a battle with cancer.
The neck injury is the latest bad news for Bryan, and while there is hope that he will return at SummerSlam on Aug. 17 in Los Angeles, it is not a definitive timetable.
