Kevin Love Rumors: Minnesota Must Trade Him or Risk Losing Star Via Free Agency? [VIDEO]

Is Kevin Love ready to leave the Minnesota Timberwolves anytime soon?

Reports have it that people close to the All-Star forward has told the team that they should trade him this season or risk getting nothing in return once he leaves via free agency next summer, when his contract expires.

According to Mitch Lawrence of NY Daily News: " With Love looking to exit, there's your No. 1 reason the T-wolves have not been able to find a head coach to take over for Rick Adelman. Love wants to play for the Lakers but he's also open to coming to the Knicks."

Love is arguably the best player in Minnesota Timberwolves history after Kevin Garnett, but he has never made it to the playoffs during his time with the franchise. Last year, he posted usual monster numbers of 26 points and 12.5 rebounds a game, but the Wolves were still not able to qualify for the preseason after finishing with a winning record of 42-40.

Love has been consistently linked with numerous franchises like the Lakers and Knicks, although a recent report cites that the versatile power forward may not consider hooking up with Kobe Bryant in LA if the team stil has Kurt Rambis as an assistant coach. According to the NY Daily News, Love has butted head with Rambis before and thus would have "reservations about possibly signing with the Lakers as a free agent if Rambis remains on the coaching staff."
