Carolina Panthers star defensive end Greg Hardy allegedly chokeslammed his girlfriend before throwing her on a bed covered "in assault weapons and shotguns."

Nicole Holder, 24, filed a restraining order against the NFL star on Wednesday, further alleging he threatened to kill her and also threw her into the bathtub and attempted to strangle her, according to BlackSportsOnline.com.

Greg Hardy charged with domestic abuse

Attorney Stephen Goodwin later told reporters his client has "injuries from head to toe" and she was forced to go to an emergency room for treatment and now has her arm in a sling.

Police were called to Hardy's home just after 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and found the woman nursing scratches and bruises. Reportedly, Hardy, who was arrested on domestic abuse charges, told authorities that he had called police.

Hardy is slated to make $13.1 million next season for the Panthers after the team used its franchise tag to retain him. Along with quarterback Cam Newton the 6-foot-4, 290 lb. Pro Bowler is viewed as one of the team's leaders.

Hardy led the Panthers with 15 sacks and added 59 tackles overall last season. The five-year veteran's best season came in 2012, when he finished with 41 solo tackles, 20 assists and 11 sacks. Hardy has now averaged slightly more than eight sacks per season, including 13 over the last two seasons.

Carolina general manager Dave Gettleman has said repeatedly he hopes to sign the 2010 sixth-round pick to a long-term contract.
