TNA wrestler Kurt Angle launched a new YouTube video series called #MyComeback that will document the Olympic Gold Medalist's recovery from injury. Angle is expected to be out of action for four to six months with a torn ACL in his knee and by the time he is healthy enough to wrestle again he will be either nearing or at the end of his TNA contract.
In the video, there is footage shown of Angle and his family as he begins the recovery and rehab process, and some of the images that are used in the video are actually from Kurt's WWE career. (Credit: TNA Insider)
There has already been speculation that Angle might return to WWE for one last run before he retires from wrestling, and with his TNA contract expiring around the same time he is due back from injury, it would be the perfect time for Angle to go back to where it all started.
Daniel Bryan Neck Surgery: Could Injury Threaten His Career?
CB's Analysis: If I am Kurt Angle and I am about to undergo four to six months of grueling rehab from yet another serious injury, I would definitely be thinking that it is time to go back to WWE.TNA has already been transitioning to younger, lower-priced talent anyway, and Dixie Carter may not want to sign Angle to a new contract anyway.
Given Kurt Angle's work ethic both in and out of the ring, there is no doubt that he will be wrestling somewhere in a few months when he is ready. Ultimately, I think the idea of a final WWE run and the prospect of a long-term post-career relationship with Triple H and Company will be too good to pass up, and we will see Kurt Angle back in WWE sooner than later.
