On this week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Sheamus won the United States Championship from Dean Ambrose when he won a 20-man battle royal. After the match, Sheamus over-celebrated and teased a heel turn, and now the Celtic Warrior went on a Twitter rant about being tagged with the idea that he only made it in WWE because he was Triple H's workout buddy.
Said Sheamus:
"For the interwebbers. 3 BRITS don't hold @WWE titles. 2 Brits & 1 Irish fella OR 2 brunettes & 1 handsome ginger hold titles."
"...and ALL dirt sheet heroes who dream they "got the better" of me away from cameras. Step up. Be men. In the ring most days. Try me fella."
"...and lastly dirty sheeters. I'm not HHH's "work-out buddy". Trained with Hunter 3 times. In 2009. In Australia... Now. Back to me day off."

CB's Analysis: I am sure one of the most liberating things that can happen to a wrestler in WWE is being able to spout off a little bit to their critics after they turn heel. While Sheamus hasn't completely turned yet, WWE has planted the seeds for it and it's been a long time since he has been a bad guy.

As for the Triple H workout buddy comments, that rumor is from a long time ago and actually came at a time when people were doubting Sheamus when he first rose through the ranks. Personally, I thought he actually had a standout feud with Goldust before hitting it big, and so I never really had a problem with Sheamus getting a shot to establish himself.
It is a good time to turn Sheamus heel since the character has cooled off somewhat as a baby face, so I am sure it will officially happen sooner than later.
