There are reports circulating that Sheamus was involved in a physical altercation with Sin Cara backstage during the WWE's television tapings this week in New York, and "The Celtic Warrior" has commented on these rumors.

The report going around was that Sin Cara and Sheamus reportedly got into a fight and while details were sketchy at first, word going around was that Sin Cara got the better of Sheamus in the scrap.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reported that the fight broke out but it is unknown whether or not the fight actually occurred and whether said altercation took place at the Times Union Center in Albany during Monday Night RAW or Tuesday night's SmackDown tapings at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.

Sheamus took to Twitter to deny the fight:

Sheamus is the new United States Champion after winning a 20-man over-the-top-rope battle royal on Monday Night RAW to unseat Dean Ambrose as the champion.

It has been rumored that Sheamus will be turning heel soon as the WWE looks to revamp "The Celtic Warrior's" character with the United States Championship and to build him as one of the upper-tier heels, however that has since been refuted as they may start pushing him as a top face rather than a midcard one.

The WWE was supposedly waiting to pull the trigger on Sheamus' heel turn until their tour through Europe concludes later this month, but now it seems like the heel turn is off. Sheamus, a Dublin, Ireland native, is expected to be cheered by the crowds in Europe no matter what alignment he is so the WWE didn't want to turn him before he went overseas, but now he may not turn at all.

The European tour runs from May 14 through May 25, after which Sheamus will likley stay a face.

While the details on the fight and whether or not it occurred are sketchy, more information should come out soon.
