There have been many different feelings and stories about the decision to have The Undertaker lose The Streak at WrestleMania XXX to Brock Lesnar at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 6, dropping his record to 21-1 at the biggest show of the year. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels recently shed some more light on the decision to have 'Taker lose.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers For Friday From Buffalo

Jim Ross had Michaels on his podcast The Ross Report and the two men discussed The Undertaker's controversial loss at WrestleMania XXX, which could prove to be his final match with the company.

Michaels revealed to Ross on the show that the decision to have The Undertaker lose the match and The Streak at WrestleMania XXX was made just four hours before the show began. Ross added that he had spoken with The Undertaker in New Orleans and asked him how many matches he had left, to which 'Taker replied that Ross would find out in a few hours, meaning after his match with Lesnar.

Projected Card For WWE Payback 2014

The Undertaker suffered a concussion during his match with "The Beast" at the show, leading many to believe that the injury mixed with The Streak ending means that the Dead Man's career came to an end at WrestleMania XXX, though nothing is confirmed.

Michaels said that 'Taker told him in New Orleans that he'd contact him in a few weeks to update him on his health and his future in the WWE. Michaels noted that 'Taker was very banged up after the match and he offered no further update yet on his health.

There was a lot of confusion as to who made the decision to end The Streak and the most recent reports indicated that Vince McMahon was working under the impression that this was The Undertaker's last match and that The Streak should end. There were some reports saying 'Taker had to be talked into losing while others suggest he was fine with whatever McMahon decided.

McMahon is a big proponent of legends going out on the losing end as is usually customary, and that was likely the reason for him deciding to make 'Taker lose.

Michaels confirmed that it was in fact McMahon's decision to have The Undertaker lose to Lesnar and he expressed confidence that McMahon had a good reason, at least in his mind, for ending The Streak.

'Taker had suggested in 2010 that he'd like to lose to Lesnar one day and it came to fruition four years later.

Now that The Streak is over, the only question that remains is over whether or not The Undertaker ever wrestles another match in the WWE.
