Reports indicate that the following was taped on Tuesday night for the episode of SmackDown that's set to air this Friday, May 9 from Buffalo, N.Y. as the WWE continues to hash through the fallout of the Extreme Rules event this past Sunday and continues to build up to the Payback event that airs live Sunday, June 1 from the Allstate Arena in Chicago.

Projected Card For WWE Payback 2014

In the main event of the evening, The Wyatt Family defeated John Cena and The Usos in a six-man tag team match after Luke Harper nailed one of the Usos with a lariat and notched the pinfall victory. After the match, Cena cut a promo and said Bray Wyatt was afraid of him and had to have one of his goons pick up the win.

Dean Ambrose kicked off SmackDown by getting his United States Championship rematch against the new champion Sheamus. "The Celtic Warrior" ended up picking up a clean victory with the Brogue Kick. The rest of The Shield wasn't at ringside.

To round out The Shield's action, Seth Rollins took on Batista in a match that saw "The Animal" win by countout after Reigns missed a jump off of the top rope and hit the announce table, failing to beat the count back in. Batista then nailed a Batista Bomb on a prone Rollins.

In tag team action, Cesaro and Bad News Barrett defeated Rob Van Dam and Big E after Cesaro got the pinfall on Big E. RVD accidentally kicked Big E in the head during the match. Paul Heyman was on commentary during the contest.
