The Los Angeles Lakers rallied back from a 25-point deficit to defeat the New Orleans Hornets 108-102 on Wednesday once again giving the team a .500 record. Los Angeles was once again led by the an impressive performance from "The Black Mamba".
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers rally with a 42 point, 12 assist and seven rebounds performance in the win over New Orleans. 13 of Bryant's 42 points came during a 20-0 run in the last 6:22 of the fourth quarter, allowing Los Angeles to take the lead.
New Orleans was still ahead by 21 points in the final minute of the third. Despite a narrowing the gap, the Lakers still faced a 14 point deficit with 6:47 second remaining.
Already with 12 assists, Bryant went into shooting mode, with help from Jodie Meeks, who hit two of his five 3-pointers in the final surge to total 19 points in the victory.
The Lakers bounce back from a disappointing loss the previous night in Oklahoma City with Wednesday nights' win. Los Angeles currently holds a 31-31 record as they trail Utah for the eighth seed by 2.5 games.
